Hi there. I've written several science fiction books, the four most recent being Old Man's War (Tor, 2005), Agent to the Stars (Subterranean Press, 2005), The Ghost Brigades and The Android's Dream (Both Tor, 2006). I have also written extensively in non-fiction on the subjects of personal finance, astronomy and film, and I am the author of the bestselling "Book of the Dumb" humor series. My two upcoming non-fiction books will be a book on writing and a selection of columns, both from Subterranean books and to be published in 2006. In addition to books, I also write for newspaper and magazines on the subjects of film, technology and humor. I am also deeply involved with online writer, with a popular personal blog ("The Whatever") as well as a position as a professional blogger for America Online. In addition to topics related to science fiction, I am also able to talk on any of the subjects above. I do radio and television appearances frequently (including a guest shot on "Oprah"), as well as numerous personal appearances and signings. I'm comfortable speaking to audiences of all sizes. My fees are generally within the range noted above although they are subject to negotiation based primarily on the nature of the organziation and distance required to travel.
