Phil Nichols is Course Leader for Commercial Video Production at the University of Wolverhampton, UK, and teaches all aspects of video & film production. He holds an MA in Screenwriting and a first degree in sciences, and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and member of SFRA and the Royal Television Society. He is currently working on a PhD at Liverpool University, on transformations between literature and media in the work of Ray Bradbury.

Steven Harper Piziks was born in Saginaw, Michigan, but he moved around a lot. Currently he lives with his wife and sons in Michigan. He’s also lived in Wisconsin and Germany and recently traveled to Ukraine to adopt children with his wife. His short fiction has appeared in Sword & Sorceress, Marion Zimmer Bradley’s Fantasy Magazine, Esther Friesner’s Chicks in Chainmail anthologies, and elsewhere. His novels include In the Company of Mind and Corporate Mentality, both science fiction published by Baen Books, and The Nanotech War, a Star Trek: Voyager novel.

Allen Steele is a prolific author of science fiction, whose works have received the Hugo, Locus, and Seiun awards and have been published worldwide. His most recent novels have been the acclaimed Coyote series, including COYOTE, COYOTE RISING, and COYOTE FRONTIER. He serves on the Board of Advisors of the Space Frontier Foundation; in 2001, he testified before the House Subcommittee on Space Science and Technology in hearings on the future of space exploration. His topics of discussion include space exploration, futurism, and the history of science fiction.

Barr, a specialist in science fiction written by women, has published widely and lectured throughout the world. She recently co-edited the special topic science fiction issue of PMLA, the most renowned literary studies journal in the United States.
