I’m a member of SFWA and have published one fantasy novel, Firethorn, and am working on the second in the series, forthcoming from Scribner whenever I can finish it--I hope it will be out in 2007. The first book was well-reviewed (http://firethorn.info/ftreviews.htm) and was included in Best Science Fiction and Fantasy of 2004 lists from both Borders and Amazon. Firethorn is about a female camp follower, and I’m very interested in the subjects of women in wartime, medical practices in the past, caste and class divisions in society, and magic.
