AboutSF, founded in 2005, is the educational outreach arm of the Center for the Study of Science Fiction and is a joint-project of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and the Science Fiction Research Association. This is a note to point out that sf/speculative elements does show up in mainstream literary poetry. One poem in the collection, 'Space Walking 'by the late R.S. Thomas uses the allegory of floating in space to addres the poet's relationship with God. I also noted that several other poems have allusions to sf popular culture including one reference to AMAZING STORIES
