Dr. Michael Levy is a professor of English and chair of the English Department at the University of Wisconsin-Stout where he teaches courses in Science Fiction and Children’s Literature. He’s published several books, including a scholarly edition of A. Merritt’s The Moon Pool. He’s also the author of the Modern Science Fiction chapters of the standard reference book Anatomy of Wonder and numerous articles on science fiction and children’s literature. His reviews of various science fiction and fantasy works have appeared in Publishers Weekly, the New York Review of Science Fiction, Science Fiction Studies, and elsewhere. Dr. Levy is a past president of the Science Fiction Research Association and is the current president of the International Association for the Fantastic in the Arts. He is also on the editorial board of the scholarly journal Extrapolation. He can speak on a variety of topics relating to the history of science fiction, current SF, children’s SF and fantasy, science fiction scholarship, and book reviewing.
