Amy Berner is a freelance genre television, film, and pop culture columnist. Most recently, she co-authored the book “The Great Snape Debate,” analyzing whether Severus Snape (from the Harry Potter series) is a friend or foe as the countdown begins to the final book of the series. Ms. Berner is a regular contributing author to the “Smart Pop” anthology series from BenBella Books with six essays included in their anthologies over the last two years (regarding Angel, The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Alias, Farscape, Lost and Veronica Mars). She also recently completed a three-year stint as the featured columnist at DarkWorlds.com. She specializes in science-fiction and fantasy analysis and has spoken on panels at Comic-Con 2005, the Fourth Conjecture (2005), Comic-Con 2006, the Fifth Conjecture (2006). Ms. Berner is also an accomplished corporate event designer/producer. Fees are negotiable, especially for nonprofit organizations.
